North Reading Police Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect

NORTH READING  — Chief Michael P. Murphy reports that the North Reading Police Department is actively searching for a man who robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon.

On Dec. 12, at 3:55 p.m., North Reading Police were dispatched to Winter Hill Bank, 271 Main St., on a report of a robbery.

After reviewing video surveillance, police determined that a white man, who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches with a medium build, and wearing a blue winter jacket, black ball cap and blue jeans entered the bank and approached the teller.

The suspect is then seen passing a note to a teller. No weapon was shown.

He then left the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
