Easton Fire Capt. James Walsh Retiring After 38 Years

EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge is pleased to announce that Easton Fire Capt. James Walsh is retiring today after 38 years in the fire service.

“Jim has served the Easton Fire Department and the community for over 30 years with distinction and pride,” Chief Partridge said. “On behalf of the entire department, I would like to congratulate Captain Walsh and wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Capt. Walsh began his career with the Avon Fire Department in 1980 as a Call Firefighter where worked for 12 years.

In 1987, he started at the Easton Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT. He has been a captain since 1997 and worked as the department training officer and fire alarm superintendent throughout his career.

A luncheon to celebrate Capt. Walsh’s retirement will be held at Station 1 on Lothrop Street today.
