Easton Fire Department Swears In Three New Firefighters
EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge is pleased to announce that three new Easton firefighters were sworn in during a ceremony at Town Hall this week.
Firefighters Josue Rodene, Jennifer Kocerha and Sean Martin were sworn in by Easton Town Clerk Danielle Sicard on Monday, July 9.
Firefighter Rodene, of Brockton, became certified as a paramedic in February. Prior to joining the department he worked for Fallon Ambulance as an EMT and was employed at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton as a mental health associate. He is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a degree in management. He will attend the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in November.
Firefighter Kocerha, of Brockton, has been an EMT since 2016 and was certified as a paramedic in March. She worked at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth as a dispatcher and EMT. She also has previous experience as a dispatcher for Brewster Ambulance and the Avon Police and Fire Departments. In November, Firefighter Kocerha will attend the firefighting academy.
Firefighter Martin, of Abington, has been a paramedic for three years and an EMT since 2012. He had worked for McCall Ambulance Service since 2012 as a medic in the Dorchester area. Firefighter Martin has an associates degree in fire science from Massasoit Community College. He will be attending the firefighting academy in October.
“I would like to welcome our three newest firefighters to the Easton Fire Department,” Chief Partridge said. “They each have valuable experience that they bring to the table that will serve them well as they begin their careers.”
