Town of Maynard Announces Mandatory Outdoor Water Restriction

MAYNARD — Public Works Director Aaron Miklosko announces that the Town of Maynard will have a mandatory outdoor water use restriction beginning next week.

The water restriction is the result of an effort to preserve the town’s water supply following a recent mechanical failure in one of its water production wells. The restriction begins Monday, June 11, and will remain in effect until further notice.

Under this Water Conservation Restriction, all outdoor use of water is prohibited. The conservation order will be strictly enforced by local officials.

The elevated conservation restriction will help ensure the town can provide an adequate supply of water for drinking and fire protection.

For any questions regarding the water restriction, please call the Department of Public Works at 978-897-1317.

For more information on how you can help conserve water, visit the Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs Water Conservation website.
