Police Investigating Threatening Note Found Inside Taunton High School

TAUNTON — Police Chief Edward Walsh reports that the Taunton Police Department is actively investigating a threatening note that was found inside Taunton High School Monday afternoon.

A media information update will be held on Tuesday morning at the Taunton Police Department.

WHAT

Near the end of the school day on Monday, a high school faculty member found a threatening note inside Taunton High School and immediately reported it to school administrators. Taunton Police were notified and an investigation was launched.

School has been cancelled Tuesday, May 22, for students and faculty at Taunton High School and Parker Middle School. There will be no after school activities.

At this time, the investigation of this incident is active and ongoing. No further information will be provided at this time.
