Chelmsford Police Charge Man With Breaking Into Two Churches

CHELMSFORD — Chief James M. Spinney reports that the Chelmsford Police Department arrested a man who allegedly broke into two churches.

DAKOTA L. GLADSTONE, AGE 20, OF CHELMSFORD was charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime With Intent to Commit a Felony
  • Breaking and Entering in the Daytime With Intent to Commit a Felony

At approximately 8:20 a.m. this morning, an employee of Trinity Lutheran Church, 170 Old Westford Road, called police after seeing a man flee out the back door.

Responding officers set up a perimeter and tracked the suspect, later identified as GLADSTONE, and located and arrested him a short time later.

Through the subsequent investigation, it was determined that GLADSTONE had allegedly broken into the church and Saints Vartanantz Armenian Church, 180 Old Westford Road.

GLADSTONE is expected to be arraigned on Monday.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
