Holbrook Police Assist in Arrest of Man Wanted in Dorchester Murder

HOLBROOK — Chief William Smith reports that members of the Holbrook Police Department assisted in the apprehension and arrest of a man wanted in connection with a murder in Dorchester that occurred in January.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, members of the Holbrook Police Department, along with the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, arrested RALPH BROWN, AGE 43, OF BOSTON.

BROWN was found hiding in a closet inside a home on Longmeadow Drive in Holbrook. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.

BROWN is facing murder and firearms charges for his alleged involvement in the murder of Shaquille Browder in Dorchester on Jan. 11.

BROWN was the second suspect arrested in connection with Browder’s murder. Last week, Kyle Williams-Gathers was located in Walpole and arrested after a standoff.

At his arraignment in Dorchester District Court on the day of his arrest, BROWN was ordered to be held without bail.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
