Taunton Fire Department Swears In Four Promoted Officers

TAUNTON — Chief Timothy Bradshaw is pleased to announce four fire officer promotions that took place during a ceremony at the Taunton City Council meeting Tuesday night.

Family members and friends gathered at Taunton City Hall to watch the newly promoted officers take their respective oaths and be sworn in by City Clerk Rose Marie Blackwell.

Jason Boiros and Michael Dunham were both promoted to captain. Brian Silveira and Kevin Lavigne were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

“Each of these gentlemen are deserving of their new ranks and I know they will continue to serve our department, the city and its residents well,” Chief Bradshaw said. “This is something they have all been working hard toward in their careers as firefighters and it was great to see them celebrate with their families Tuesday night.”
