Bedford Police Investigating Bank Robbery

BEDFORD — Chief Robert Bongiorno reports that the Bedford Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday afternoon.

At 1:38 p.m., Bedford Police responded to the Bank of America branch on The Great Road for a reported robbery.

Upon arrival, officers were notified that a male suspect came into the bank and passed a note to the teller, demanding money. The suspect, in his late 30s or early 40s, is described as white or Hispanic, with a medium-complexion. He is approximately 5’9″ with a stocky build.

The incident is under investigation by the Bedford Police Department, with the assistance of a federal law enforcement task force that responds to bank robberies.

Police were provided with high-quality surveillance photos that they are sharing with the public. If anyone recognizes the individual pictured, they are urged to contact the Bedford Police Department at 781-275-1212.
