BOXBOROUGH — Chief Warren B. Ryder reports that the Boxborough Police, in partnership with multiple agencies, have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a home break-in that occurred late last month.

DANIEL K. DESJARDINS, AGE 33, OF LOWELL was arrested and charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering Into a Building In the Daytime For a Felony
  • Larceny From a Building
  • Malicious Destruction of Property Over $250
  • Receiving Stoleny Property Over $250 (Subsequent Offense)

DESJARDINS was arrested at his home Saturday morning by Boxborough Police detectives after he was identified as a suspect in a break-in at a home in Boxborough on July 29. Detectives executed a search warrant at his home on Aug. 5 and arrested DESJARDINS without incident.

The Merrimac, Lowell, Lawrence and State Police all assisted with the investigation.

“This arrest is the result of a coordinated effort among multiple police agencies,” Chief Ryder said. “I am proud of everyone involved for their hard work investigating this break-in and identifying a suspect.”

DESJARDINS was arraigned Monday in Ayer District Court and is being held on $5,000 bail.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
