Littleton Fire Department Responds to Crash Involving Bear Cub

LITTLETON — Chief Scott Wodzinski reports that the Littleton Fire Department responded Sunday to a crash in which a motorcycle struck a bear cub.

At approximately 6:38 p.m., Sunday, Littleton firefighters responded to Route 2 near the Interstate 495 interchange for a report of a crash. Upon their arrival, firefighters determined that a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 2 had collided with a bear cub.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The bear cub was killed in the crash.
