WHAT:

The Gloucester Fire Department will gather at the Dept. Of Public Works and then march to the the Relief Association Firefighters Lot at Cherry Hill Cemetery where a service will be held to honor Gloucester’s fallen firefighters. This year’s guest speaker will be state Sen. Bruce Tarr.

In the event of rain, the service will be held at Gloucester Fire Headquarters at 8 School St.

“This is a great event that we’re incredibly proud to participate in,” Chief Smith said. “This service has been held annually for more than 125 years.  It gives the department and the community a chance to honor and remember those deceased firefighters who served their community along with those who died in the line of duty.”
