ARLINGTON — Arlington’s Department of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce that it received a $1,000 donation from Steve McKenna and the Home Advantage Team last week to benefit the town’s fuel assistance program.

The Arlington Fuel Assistance Program is entirely funded through donations from the community. Each year, the program assists hundreds of residents in need, including families with children, seniors and veterans.

The donation was made in honor of #GivingTuesday, which is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and is meant to kick off the charitable season as many people focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

“We couldn’t support our residents in need without the generosity from our community and businesses like Steve McKenna’s team,” said Christine Bongiorno, Director of Arlington Health and Human Services. “We have many worthy causes to give to and we are proud to have the opportunity to be able to support those in need through donations such as these.”

Those who wish to donate to the Arlington Fuel Assistance Program, or any of the Arlington Health and Human Services programs can do so here.
