Methuen Police & Essex District Attorney’s Office Investigating Homicide

The following is a press release from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

METHUEN — Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Essex District Attorney’s Office and Methuen Police are actively investigating a homicide, which does not appear to be a random act of violence.

At approximately 5:45 am, Methuen Police conducted a well-being check at a local residence. After making a forced entry, they located an unresponsive adult female. She was transported to Holy Family Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

This is an active investigation.

When further information is available, it will be released by the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
