Dedham Fire Department Announces Three New Recruits Began Academy This Week in Boston
20-Week Academy Class Started on Tuesday
DEDHAM — Acting Fire Chief William F. Spillane is pleased to announce that three new recruits have started the Boston Fire Academy for a 20-week intensive training program.
Fire Recruits Matthew Munchbach, Keith Hibbard and Brian Hutchinson are all Dedham natives and still live in town today.
“I am very proud of our three new recruits, and I wish them the best of luck over the next four months,” Chief Spillane said. “We have very high hopes for them, and we can’t wait to have them in the firehouse full time.”
The academy class began on Tuesday and contains 53 Boston recruits and the three from Dedham.
“I wish our three young men the best at the academy, as they train for their careers serving the community they grew up in” said Interim Town Manager Nancy Baker. “I know that they will represent Dedham well!”
