Fire truck stolen while Missouri firefighters battle 2-alarm blaze

While Sullivan, Mo. firefighters were risking their lives battling a 2-alarm fire, someone drove off with an $80,000 brush truck loaded with equipment.

Sullivan Fire Chief Rick White told Fox 2 News that nobody was injured in the fire, but the theft might be too surprising when you learn that fire investigators believe that the fire building may have housed a clandestine meth lab.

“It’s pretty sad it makes you feel bad that society around here is capable of something like that,” Rick Webb, a former firefighter, told Fox 2.

To recap: A meth lab fire puts first responders in tremendous danger, and while they’re dealing with that, somebody stole one of their fire trucks.

The truck was found about a half mile away from the scene, down a dead-end street.
