Two construction workers were injured when several floors collapsed into each other at a Chinatown construction site Thursday morning, according to the Boston Fire Department.
Fire officials told reporters at the scene that the 12th floor collapsed all the way down to the 5th.
BFD’s Steve MacDonald snapped these photos:
The call came in at about 8 a.m. for the site of a future residential tower. Somehow, nobody was killed when several floors of steel decking collapsed in on itself. This photo, from Twitter user Curran D. Robinette, is the best one I’ve seen so far:

Channel 7’s Victoria Warren did a great job Tweeting the scene. She reported that one of the workers sustained a serious head injury, while another worker was injured but was able to walk out of the site under his own power. Injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
