Town of Dighton Hosts Annual Veterans Day Breakfast

DIGHTON — Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein and Veterans’ Services Agent Donald Hirschy are pleased to share that the town held its annual Veterans Day Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 9.

This year’s breakfast, organized by Hirschy, was the fourth year in a row the town has hosted the breakfast in honor of Dighton’s veterans.

Approximately 40 local veterans and their caregivers came to enjoy breakfast and share stories about their time in service with each other and with the town officials who attended.

This year’s event was held at the West Dighton Christian Church. Breakfast was catered by Alice’s Last Stop of Dighton and funded by the Dighton Lions Club.

“I’d like to thank the Dighton Lions Club for their generosity in funding breakfast for our veterans, and Alice’s Last Stop for catering the event,” Hirschy said. “We look forward to hosting this event each year and we enjoyed seeing our veterans come out and have a good time at the breakfast.”

“Hosting this breakfast in honor of Veterans Day is one small way our town works to express our appreciation for our local heroes each year,” Town Administrator Aronstein said. “It was wonderful to see our veterans come for the morning to share their stories and enjoy each other’s company.”
