Raynham Fire Department’s Jeffrey Kelleher Promoted to Captain

RAYNHAM — Chief James T. Januse is pleased to announce that Raynham Fire Department Lieutenant Jeffrey Kelleher was promoted to the rank of Captain last week and will be recognized at a ceremony tomorrow.

Kelleher was promoted by Chief Januse on Friday, June 7. A promotion ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at Raynham Town Hall at 7 p.m., where his family will be in attendance.

“Jeff has been with the Raynham Fire Department for nearly 25 years, starting as a call firefighter,” Chief Januse said. “Since that time, he has been an integral part of our department as he has worked his way up the ranks, including serving a vital role as our community outreach officer. On behalf of the entire department, I would like to congratulate Jeff on this next step of his career.”

Kelleher began his career with the Raynham Fire Department as a call firefighter in 1995. He was hired as a full-time firefighter for the department in 1998. In January 2017, he was named an acting lieutenant and was subsequently promoted to the rank of lieutenant seven months later.

Kelleher is a paramedic who holds various officer certifications. As a captain, he will continue his role as the Group 2 shift commander.

Kelleher lives in Raynham with his wife Kellie and three sons. His oldest son, Justin Kelleher, is also a Raynham firefighter.
