Bedford Police Department Joins Instagram

BEDFORD — Chief Robert Bongiorno is pleased to announce that the Bedford Police Department has expanded its efforts to connect with the community online by joining Instagram.

The department’s new Instagram account launched this week, and will serve as an outlet for officers to post about their work in town. The account will be updated regularly with photos of the department’s involvement in the community, including events, updates and more.

“This is another platform for us to get important information out to residents while also providing more insight into the work our officers do every day,” Chief Bongiorno said.

The Bedford Police Department’s Instagram username is @bedfordmapd. The department is also on Twitter and Facebook. Accounts are not monitored 24/7, so residents should always call 911 in the event of an emergency.
