Whittier Dismisses Students Early After Threatening Message Discovered

HAVERHILL — Superintendent Maureen Lynch reports that Whittier Tech dismissed students at noon today after a threatening message was found inside one of the school’s bathrooms.

This morning, school staff were alerted to a threatening message inside a boys’ bathroom. Students were dismissed early today out of an abundance of caution, though school leaders have no reason to believe there is any imminent danger to students or staff.

The early dismissal will better enable the Haverhill Police Department and Massachusetts State Police, who are currently on scene, to investigate.
