ACTON — The Acton Fire Department and mutual aid partners worked together to quickly contain a fire in the bathroom of a single-family home on Saturday.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, at 4:05 p.m., the Acton Fire Department responded to 1 Fisher Path after a resident called 911 and reported a fire in a second-floor bathroom.
Companies arrived and quickly knocked down the fire, which had spread into the attic and roof. The rest of the home suffered water and smoke damage.
Residents of the home will not be able to immediately return. There were no reported injuries.
Firefighters from Concord and Maynard provided mutual aid at the scene, and firefighters from Boxborough, Stow and Westford covered Acton stations.
Acton Police assisted by securing the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Acton Fire Department.
“Crews did a great job making a quick knockdown,” said Chief Anita Arnum.
