Bedford Police Respond to Fatal Construction Incident on Maiden Lane

BEDFORD — The Bedford Police Department responded to a residence on Maiden Lane Monday morning for reports of an individual injured by a steamroller vehicle.

On Monday at approximately 10:54 a.m., police were dispatched to Maiden Lane following reports of a construction worker being injured by a steamroller. 

The worker, identified as a 67-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

The name of the worker and the construction company are not being released at this time.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and responded to the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by Bedford Police Department, in collaboration with OSHA.
