Chelmsford Police Department Charges New Hampshire Woman with Third-Offense Operating Under the Influence

CHELMSFORD — The Chelmsford Police Department arrested and charged a New Hampshire woman with third-offense Operating Under the Influence. 

ALICIA MAZERALL, age 38, of MERRIMACK, NH, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operating Under the Influence of Liquor (Third Offense)
  • Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash
  • Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle

On Monday, Sept. 28, at about 1:25 p.m., Officers Andrew Robinson and Aidan Gillis responded to the area of Oak Street and Littleton Road for a report of a hit-and-run crash. Witnesses told police that a white Honda CRV struck another vehicle on Oak Street and then fled the scene. There were no reported injuries.

Officers Robinson and Gillis searched the immediate area for the vehicle, locating it in the parking lot of a nearby childcare center on Littleton Road. Police located several opened and unopened alcohol bottles in the vehicle. 

A subsequent on-scene investigation led to MAZERALL being taken into custody. During booking at the police station, she consented to a breathalyzer test, which allegedly registered her blood alcohol content to be .42, over five times above the legal limit of .08. 

MAZERALL is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesdayin Lowell District Court.

These are allegations. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
