TAUNTON — The Taunton Police Department is investigating a serious collision between a motor vehicle and a juvenile male on a skateboard that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, at approximately 4:47 p.m., the Taunton Police and Fire Departments were called to Cottage Street at State Street for a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
First responders arrived to find a juvenile male who had been riding a skateboard suffering from serious injuries as a result of a collision with a car driven by a 35-year-old Taunton woman.
The juvenile male was taken to a local hospital. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with an investigation that is being conducted by the Taunton Police Patrol Division with assistance from the Taunton Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
