WENHAM – Chief Kevin DiNapoli reports that the Wenham Police Department has charged a Dracut man in connection with a carjacking on Wednesday.
GARLENS SUFFRIN, age 19, of DRACUT, is charged with:
- Carjacking
- Assault and Battery
- Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury Accident
- Leaving the Scene of Property Damage Accident
On Wednesday, April 8, at about 2:15 p.m., Wenham Police received a report of a carjacking on Rubbly Road (Route 22). An initial investigation determined that the car’s owner discovered a man, later determined to be SUFFRIN, attempting to take the vehicle. A minor altercation ensued.
Police located SUFFRIN and the vehicle on Larch Row a few minutes later.
SUFFRIN will be arraigned in Newburyport District Court on Thursday.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
