TAUNTON — Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School is proud to announce that several BP DECA students have qualified for the State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in Boston this March.
Bristol-Plymouth experienced great success at the Massachusetts DECA District 8 Conference, held on Jan. 8 and 9 at the the Emerald Resort & Conference Center in Hyannis.
“Watching our DECA members compete at the district level was incredibly rewarding,” said BP DECA Advisor Jennifer Karmanian. “Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, not only in the awards they earned but in the professionalism they displayed throughout the competition. They represented Bristol-Plymouth with pride, integrity, and excellence, and I couldn’t be more proud of all they accomplished.”
In order to advance to the next round of competition, known as the state conference, students were required to place in the top five in their category at the district conference in Hyannis.
Students participated in categories including marketing, community service, finance, hospitality and tourism. Bristol-Plymouth took home two first-place, five second-place, three third-place, one fourth-place and three fifth-place trophies, with all students qualifying for the SCDC.

Third-Place Winners: Hannah Augustin (Taunton), Joshua Gomes (Assonet), Emma Kola (Raynham)
Fourth-Place Winner: Coral Sardinha (Assonet)
Fifth-Place Winners: Anna Doten (Raynham), Natalie Mcguire (Berkley), Alexis Enos (Taunton)
