Dunstable Fire Department Receives $300,000 from FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program

DUNSTABLE — Chief William Farrell is pleased to share that the Dunstable Fire Department received $300,000 in grant funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.

Dunstable Fire will use the funding to replace the department’s aging brush truck, a 1986 Chevrolet.

“This grant allows us to purchase a new brush truck, which enables the department to best meet the needs of our residents and our community during brush and wildfires,” said Chief Farrell. “Brush fires have had a significant impact across the state in the past few years, and with the new truck, the department will be better equipped to extinguish those fires.”
