North Middlesex Regional High School Earns Continued Accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges

TOWNSEND — Superintendent Brad Morgan is pleased to report that North Middlesex Regional High School has earned continued accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

TOWNSEND — Superintendent Brad Morgan is pleased to report that North Middlesex Regional High School has earned continued accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

The NEASC is an independent, non-profit organization whose membership represents a broad array of diverse educational institutions, unified in their commitment to improvement and growth. Globally recognized as a standard of excellence in schooling, NEASC accreditation attests to a school’s high quality and integrity.

North Middlesex Regional High School has been accredited for more than two decades now.

NEASC accreditation is a voluntary process by which schools open themselves to evaluation by teams of education professionals in areas such as safety, governance and financial practices. NEASC accreditation also focuses on high-quality teaching and learning.

This spring, a team from NEASC visited NMRHS to visit classrooms, interview students, staff and families, and to review documentation.

As a result, NMRHS has been awarded continued education, with evaluators noting the school’s strengths in parent engagement, course offerings, faculty commitment to student learning, faculty collaboration to support student learning, and multiple enrichment opportunities for students.

Evaluators also highlighted the robust library media center and a clean, well-maintained, and secure school building.

NEASC evaluators also provided information several areas where NMRHS could see continued growth, including development of a “Vision of a Graduate,” development of written curriculum in a consistent format, and updating and implementing a school improvement plan.

“We are extremely proud to have once again earned NEASC accreditation — which we consider to be the gold standard in school accountability and excellence. We take this process and recommendations seriously, as we work each day to become better at what we do,” said Superintendent Morgan. “Congratulations to the students, faculty and staff who made this possible. Our school community has a lot to be proud of.”
