Katie Siwicki has been named incoming Principal of Barnard School, effective July 1, bringing more than 25 years of experience to the South Hampton School community.
Siwicki will come to Barnard from the Dr. An Wang Middle School in Lowell, Mass., where she serves as Assistant Principal.
Siwicki started her educational career in Garden Grove, Calif., serving as an elementary school teacher,
She returned to Massachusetts in 2001, working as a Grade 3 teacher and as Literacy/Comprehensive School Reform Coach from 2001-2015 at South Lawrence East Elementary School in Lawrence.
She ascended to positions of increasing importance, working as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction and as Assistant Principal at the Emily G. Wetherbee School in Lawrence, Mass., and as Assistant Principal at West Elementary School in Andover, Mass.
Siwicki holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Studies and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, both from the University of New Hampshire. She also earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from American International College and holds numerous professional certifications.

From my very first visit, it was clear that South Hampton is a place where families, educators, and students support one another and take pride in their school,” Siwicki said. “I look forward to building strong relationships and working together to ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and celebrated.”
