WAREHAM — Superintendent Matt D’Andrea and Wareham Middle School Principal Tracie Cote are pleased to share that Wareham Middle School music students performed their Spring Concert on Thursday, March 20.

About 100 students performed the two one-hour shows for an audience of over 550 community members. The shows included ensembles from the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade bands, the jazz band, and the middle school chorus.

“Our student musicians put in a lot of hard work leading up to this concert,” said Wareham Middle School Music Teacher Caitlin Francese. “I’m so proud of their accomplishments and was thrilled to see what they’ve learned this year.”

The fifth-grade band performed seven songs, including the American folk song “Go Tell Aunt Rhodie.” The sixth-grade band performed “Mechanical Monsters” by Randall D. Standridge; the sixth and seventh-grade band performed “Zombie Attack” by Jason Taurins; and the seventh-grade band performed “Bazaar” and “Fragile” by Randall D. Standridge, and “Aliens in the Attic” by Tyler Arcari.

The jazz band performed “Knock Out” by Erik Sherburne. The Wareham Middle School Chorus sang “Spring Spring Spring” by Teresa Jennings and arranged by Paul Jennings, and “What is This Feeling” from “Wicked,” by Stephen Schwartz and arranged by Roger Emerson.

“We’re very proud of the wonderful show our students put on this year,” Superintendent D’Andrea said. “They showed off their new songs and skills to family and community members with great performances.”
