WOBURN — Principal Kristen Maloney is pleased to share that Grade 3-5 students in the Drama Club put on a performance combining three different shows.

For two months, just over 20 Grade 3-5 students volunteered their time to rehearse two times a week for a production of “Trolls,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Finding Nemo.”

The show was directed by Kindergarten teacher Carol Carney and retired second-grade teacher Marlene Faulkingham, who have led the drama program together for over ten years. Together, the pair wrote the script, selected music, and planned choreography that incorporated the heart of each show into a powerful hybrid performance.

The show marks the final curtain call for Faulkingham and Carney. Faulkingham retired last year after about 17 years working in the District, and Carney will retire this year after about 25 years.

“This production was a remarkable feat, thanks to the combined efforts of our students and wonderful co-directors, Mrs. Faulkingham and Mrs. Carney,” said Principal Maloney. “It is always so special to see our students immersed in the joy of performing, but this show was extra special knowing it was the last one under these excellent directors who have created an inclusive, inspiring space for our drama students.”
