READING — Chief David Clark reports that the Reading Police Department arrested and charged a North Reading woman with operating under the influence.
MOLLY ANNE HOWE, AGE 37, of NORTH READING, was arrested and charged with the following:
- OUI Liquor
- Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle
- Marked Lanes Violation
On Thursday, Dec. 6, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Reading Police officers were operating in the area of Main and Forrest Streets when they observed a white Audi Q7 traveling northbound on Main Street.
Officers observed the vehicle cross the marked lanes multiple times while traveling toward Fairchild Drive before turning right on Franklin Street.
Officers activated their emergency lights and initiated a motor vehicle stop of the Audi.
A preliminary investigation determined that the driver, identified as HOWE, was operating under the influence. During the field sobriety test, it was determined that HOWE’s blood alcohol level was .205, which is over twice the legal limit.
HOWE was arrested without incident and is scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Friday, Dec. 6.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
