STOUGHTON — Chief Donna McNamara and the Stoughton Police Department are pleased to announce that three children reported missing earlier Friday have been found.

Police had been searching for ASHLEY VAZQUEZ, 29, of STOUGHTON who was believed to be operating a gray 2023 Toyota RAV4. She was believed to have taken her three children — ages 10, 9 and 8 — with her.

Stoughton Police, working with other law enforcement agencies including Massachusetts State Police Critical Incident Technical Investigations Team and the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section task force, located the children around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston.

Geolocation technology available to investigators allowed law enforcement to track down the vehicle used by VAZQUEZ.

Circumstances regarding the case remain under investigation.

Chief McNamara would like to thank everyone involved in locating the children.
