Principal Brenda Erhardt shares that a team of educators will be visiting Pentucket Regional High School next week as part of the school’s accreditation review.
The Accreditation visit on Oct. 23-24 will be conducted under the direction of the Commission on Public Schools of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The visit strives for an independent, professional assessment of how the High School aligns with NEASC’s Standards for Accreditation. Evaluators represent schools from across New England.
The visiting educators will meet with school stakeholders, visit classrooms, and review student work samples. The educators also will review the school self-assessment, in which faculty identified the school’s strengths and highlighted areas for improvement.
Accreditation is a statement of confidence in a school’s professionalism, student and staff performance, and a willingness to invest in resources. Pentucket was last accredited in 2013.
The accreditation team will issue a final report with recommendations, assisting Pentucket in its ongoing vision of providing high-quality educational services to all students.
“It is always helpful to hear feedback from respected educators as we work to continuously improve,” Principal Erhardt said. “Thank you to the evaluators who are volunteering their time and expertise, and we await their final report.”
