STONEHAM — Police Chief James O’Connor and the Stoneham Police Department would like to invite residents and community members to the Department’s National Night Out event.

Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 4-7 p.m.
WHERE:
Stoneham Town Common, 340 Main St.
WHAT:
Stoneham Police will be hosting the National Night Out event to strengthen community relationships and provide an opportunity for residents to engage with law enforcement partners.
The event will feature bounce houses, a dunk tank, touch-a-truck, ice cream, cotton candy, music, and more. Other local law enforcement agencies and departments will also be present, including members of NEMLEC, Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, Massachusetts State Police, Wakefield Police, and the Woburn Police Drone Unit.

National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday in August. It is a nationwide campaign designed to strengthen the relationship between public safety officials and residents to foster community partnerships and improve neighborhood safety.
This year marks the 41st anniversary of National Night Out.
