CANAAN — Superintendent Amanda Isabelle is pleased to announce that Megan Prince has been appointed Principal of Canaan Elementary School.
Prince has worked as a music teacher in the district since 1999, at both Canaan Elementary and Enfield Village School. She has worked closely with students, parents, and other faculty to create an innovative, constructive learning environment for students to explore the creative outlet of music.
She started her new role on July 1.
“I am very excited for Megan to start her new role in Canaan,” said Superintendent Isabelle. “She has a passion for education and a great perspective on student needs that make her a great fit for this role.”
Prince has served as President of the Parent-Teacher Association and as a member of the Negotiations and Teacher Evaluation Committees. She has also served as the Mascoma Valley Regional Education Association President, Sick Bank Coordinator, and Liaison and Building Coordinator.
Prince holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Keene State College, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Plymouth State University.
“I am eager to continue to work with our wonderful community here in Canaan as Principal of Canaan Elementary,” said Prince. “I am dedicated to maintaining a nurturing, inclusive environment and ensuring everybody has the opportunity to learn in an environment conducive to their needs.”
