Mascoma Valley Director of Special Education Elected to Statewide Board

ENFIELD — Superintendent Amanda Isabelle is pleased to share that Director of Special Education Chris Beeso has been elected to the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Association of Special Education Administrators (NHASEA). 

ENFIELD — Superintendent Amanda Isabelle is pleased to share that Director of Special Education Chris Beeso has been elected to the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Association of Special Education Administrators (NHASEA)

Beeso served in a number of teaching and administrative roles focused on serving students facing significant challenges since 1985. He holds degrees in both Elementary and Special Education from Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University. He also has a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership from New England College. 

From 2015-2018, Beeso served as Director of Special Education in the Claremont School District.

Starting at Mascoma in 2018, Beeso has overseen the development and administration of special education services throughout the district.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for PathWays of the River Valley, which serves people with disabilities in their home communities in Sullivan and Lower Grafton counties. and is a member of NHASEA’s Legislative Committee. 

Outside of his professional life, Beeso, who lives in Henniker, is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is also a passionate beekeeper. 

The NHASEA is a non-profit, nonpartisan professional organization with a mission of “promoting high-quality education and leadership through professional learning, strong partnerships, and the pursuit of solutions to complex challenges.” The Association consists of more than 250 members from districts across the state, most of whom are directors, assistant directors, or coordinators of Special Education. 

As an elected member of the Board, Beeso will work alongside Special Education leaders to develop and maintain practices centered around the NHASEA’s guiding priorities: professional learning, advocacy and legislation, and communication and partnerships. 

“I would like to congratulate Chris on this recognition and am sure he will play a vital role in the success of students across New Hampshire,” said Superintendent Isabelle. “Our students have flourished because of his passion and commitment to their success.”
