West Bridgewater Police Announce Funeral Arrangements for Officer Michael Kominsky

WEST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Timothy Nixon and the West Bridgewater Police Department share that the family of Officer Michael Kominsky have announced funeral arrangements.

WEST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Timothy Nixon and the West Bridgewater Police Department share that the family of Officer Michael Kominsky have announced funeral arrangements. 

Public Calling Hours

  • Monday, June 24, from 4-8 p.m.
  • Public calling hours will begin in the Russel & Pica Funeral Home at 441 South Main St., (Rt. 28) in West Bridgewater.

Funeral Service 

  • Tuesday, June 25 at 11 a.m.
  • Russel & Pica Funeral Home at 441 South Main St., (Rt. 28) in West Bridgewater

Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, 227 Central St., Abington.

On June 17, Officer Kominsky, age 51, and a 29-year veteran of the West Bridgewater Police Department died after a long battle with cancer. He was 51 years old.

Kominsky grew up in West Bridgewater and loved the community and all those he served with on the police department.

Kominsky is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Kominsky of Brockton; his children Michael Kominsky, Jr. (MJ) & Madison Kominsky both of Middleboro; his father, Robert Kominsky Sr. of West Bridgewater; his siblings, Robert Kominsky Jr. of Germany, Mark Kominsky of Kentucky, Kevin and his wife Lisa Kominsky of West Bridgewater and many nieces & nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
