Woburn’s Shamrock Elementary School Celebrates Reading During Title I Literacy Night

WOBURN — Principal Wayne Clark is pleased to share that the Shamrock Elementary School hosted its annual Title I Literacy Night to celebrate reading and literacy on Thursday, April 11. 

WOBURN — Principal Wayne Clark is pleased to share that the Shamrock Elementary School hosted its annual Title I Literacy Night to celebrate reading and literacy on Thursday, April 11. 

The Shamrock School hosted its annual Literacy Night for families in Grades K-5. This year’s theme was Game Night.

Attendees played literacy games together in the library such as Homophone Jenga, Prefix and Suffix Bingo, Trick Word Candyland, Soft-C Cards, Glued-Sound Chutes and Ladders, Boggle, Scrabble, and Bananagrams. Families then headed into the cafeteria to eat pizza and salad while enjoying many games of Book Bingo. before heading into the cafeteria to eat pizza and salad while enjoying a game of Book Bingo.

The event was organized by Title I Teacher Candi Chillemi, and more than 130 people participated.

“Many thanks to many of the amazing Shamrock staff who volunteered their time for this great event,” said Principal Clark. “A special thanks to Candi Chillemi who organized the event!”
