Franklin Public Schools Invites Community Members to Participate in Franklin Porchfest 2024

FRANKLIN — Superintendent Lucas Giguere and Franklin Public Schools Performing Arts Director Diane Plouffe would like to invite community members to participate in the Franklin Public Schools Music Department’s event Franklin Porchfest 2024.

FRANKLIN — Superintendent Lucas Giguere and Franklin Public Schools Performing Arts Director Diane Plouffe would like to invite community members to participate in the Franklin Public Schools Music Department’s event Franklin Porchfest 2024.

WHEN:

Saturday, June 1 at 1 p.m.

*Rain date: Sunday, June 2*

WHERE:

Gazebo on the Franklin Town Common, 200 Main St., Franklin

WHAT:

Join the Franklin Public Schools Music Department for a community side-by-side performance at the Town Common. Community members are invited to perform with Franklin Public Schools student Symphony Orchestra, Band and Chorus in a side-by-side performance of “God Bless America.”

All Franklin Public Schools’ jazz bands will perform from 1-2 p.m., choruses will perform from 2-2:45 p.m., orchestras will perform from 2:45-3:20 p.m., and at 3:20 p.m. a side-by-side performance with members of the community and Franklin Public Schools orchestra and chorus will take place.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to bring their personal musical instrument. Click here to sign up.

Final details of the event will be emailed to those who sign up by May 9th.

Participants are asked to attend two rehearsals at Franklin High School, 218 Oak St.

  • Wednesday, May 15 from 6-7 p.m. in Room 131
  • Wednesday, May 29 from 6-7 p.m. in Room 131
