Ludlow Residents Encouraged to Use Billing Service for Q4 Property Tax Payments

Town Administrator Marc Strange is reminding residents that the fourth quarter property tax bills are due May 1. To streamline the payment process and reduce the Collector’s Office’s administrative workload, the Town has partnered with Kirkwood Direct, a leading provider of municipal billing services.

“Previously, we had long lines at Town Hall and piles of payments to process every 90 days,” Town Administrator Strange said. “The automation of this process is a significant improvement in the interest of our constituents.”

Property tax statements were mailed on Jan. 12. A sample letter is attached to this release for reference.

The Town strongly encourages Ludlow residents to take advantage of the convenient online payment option available or send their payments directly using the provided envelope. This approach not only facilitates faster processing but also empowers residents, reassuring them that their payments will be handled in a timely manner and significantly decreasing the administrative burden on the Collector’s Office, which has traditionally handled a high volume of mail-in and in-person payments.
