STONEHAM — The following is a statement from the Stoneham School Committee.
“The Stoneham School Committee met in executive session Tuesday evening to discuss the concerns raised over the incident at South Elementary School on Thursday, March 21.
“Last week, we heard from members of the community, but tonight was the first time the Committee had the opportunity to hear from Superintendent Ljungberg and discuss this matter as a body.
“We want to make sure we address this matter in a thoughtful way and make sure we are being as thorough as possible. Therefore, the Committee has voted to gather additional information prior to making decisions regarding appropriate actions. The Committee expects to have additional information to report by the end of the week.”
