BURLINGTON — Chief Thomas Browne reports that the Burlington Police arrested and charged a Lowell man with armed robbery.
JOHN MICHELIN, AGE 52, of LOWELL, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Armed Robbery while Masked
- Possession of Class B Substance
On Thursday, March 21 at approximately 4 a.m. Burlington Police were dispatched to an area hotel on Wheeler Road for reports of an armed robbery that had taken place.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the hotel clerk who stated they were robbed by a male individual who was wearing a mask and allegedly threatened staff with an unknown blunt object before stealing approximately $300.
Officers searched the area and spoke with witnesses, which led them to a neighboring hotel where the alleged suspect had fled.
On Friday, March 22, Burlington Police executed two search warrants in relation to the incident and placed MICHELIN under arrest.
MICHELIN was arraigned in Woburn District Court Monday and is being held without bail.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
