WAREHAM — Superintendent Matt D’Andrea and Wareham Middle School Principal Tracie Cote are pleased to share that the Wareham Middle School music students performed in the Spring Concert at Wareham Middle School on Thursday, March 14.
The two 1-hour shows, which started at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., were performed for an audience of 600 community members. The shows included ensembles from the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade bands, the jazz band, and the middle school chorus.
“Our students have worked incredibly hard this year,” music teacher Caitlin Francese said. “We were excited to share their learning with our audience!”
The fifth-grade band, consisting of 43 students, performed “Centurion” by Mark Williams; the sixth-grade band played “Dark Ride” by Randall D. Standridge, “March to Sunrise” by Danielle Fisher, and “A Song of Stone and Steel” by Tyler Arcari; and the seventh-grade band played “Awaken” by Cait Nishimura, “Suenos de la Sirena” by Danielle Fisher, and “Circuit Breaker” by Randall D. Standridge.
The Jazz band performed “Rock Don’t Roll” by Chris Berg and included multiple student solos. The Wareham Middle School Chorus sang “Bejewled” by Taylor Swift and Jack Anotonoff, arranged by Mark Brymer, and “A Million Dreams” by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, arranged by Mac Huff.
“We are so proud of our talented musicians and their hard work should be recognized,” Superintendent Matt D’Andrea said. “It was an incredible show!”
