Wareham High School Welcomes New Varsity Head Football Coach Cy Bariteau

WAREHAM —  Superintendent Matt D’Andrea, High School Principal Scott Palladino and Athletic Director Ed Rodrigues are pleased to announce that Cy Bariteau has been appointed as the new varsity head football coach at Wareham High School.

WAREHAM —  Superintendent Matt D’Andrea, High School Principal Scott Palladino and Athletic Director Ed Rodrigues are pleased to announce that Cy Bariteau has been appointed as the new varsity head football coach at Wareham High School.

Bariteau will begin in the position in August.

He currently also works as a paraprofessional at WHS.

In his time working for WHS athletics, Bariteau currently serves as the assistant varsity basketball coach and was the assistant varsity football coach and offensive coordinator in 2023. He served as the assistant coach for Wareham youth football, basketball and baseball from 2018 to 2022.

Outside of WHS, Bariteau ran various youth sports camps through the YMCA from 2016 to 2020.

Bariteau is a Wareham High School alum. Throughout his high school athletic career, he participated in WHS athletics including, basketball, baseball and football before graduating in 2014.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020.

“Cy’s leadership, collaborative spirit and passion for both the game and our players make him an exceptional addition to our football team,” said Director Rodrigues.
