NORFOLK — The Norfolk Police Department invites residents to attend the inaugural Norfolk vs. Wrentham Public Safety Hockey Game later this month, where local police officers and firefighters will come together for an afternoon of friendly competition on the ice.
On Saturday, April 25, members of the Norfolk Police and Fire Departments will face off against their counterparts from the Wrentham Police and Fire Departments in a community hockey game at Norfolk Ice Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 12 p.m.
The event is designed to bring residents together with the public safety professionals who serve the community and to showcase some friendly rivalry between neighboring departments.
“This is a fun opportunity for our departments to connect with the community outside of our day-to-day work and enjoy some friendly competition with our neighbors in Wrentham,” said Norfolk Police Chief James Barrett.
Admission is free, and residents of all ages are encouraged to attend.
