East Pennsboro Township Police Respond to Serious Motorcycle Versus School Bus Crash

East Pennsboro Township Police responded to a serious crash between a motorcycle and a school bus on Monday morning.

EAST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP — East Pennsboro Township Police responded to a serious crash between a motorcycle and a school bus on Monday morning.

At 7:22 a.m., Monday, April 13, East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to the intersection of Wertzville Road of East Penn Drive for a serious motor vehicle collision between a 2025 Yamaha motorcycle and a school-contracted Rohrer Bus school bus. 

Only the driver and their child were inside the bus, and neither were injured. The bus sustained minor damage.

The 18-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center by the East Pennsboro Ambulance Service.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the bus was traveling westbound and making a left turn onto East Penn Drive at the time of the crash. The motorcycle was traveling east and collided with the rear portion of the school bus.

The crash is under investigation by East Pennsboro Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police.
