NEWBURY — Police Chief Patricia Fisher is pleased to share that the Newbury Police Department is hiring two full-time patrol officers.
The starting salary is between $53,622.40 – $71,073.60, depending on experience. The department also offers comprehensive benefits, including:

Minimum qualifications and requirements include:
- Must possess a valid MPTC Recruit Officer Course (ROC), full-time officer certificate
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a law enforcement setting (preferred)
- Experience with IMC computer systems (preferred)
- Must possess the ability to have a valid License To Carry a Firearm
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must pass a psychological examination
- Must pass a physical fitness examination
- Must be able to obtain and maintain certification as a law enforcement officer by the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission
- Preference may be given to trained, POST-certified School Resource Officers.
