GROVELAND — The Groveland Water and Sewer Department shares that its newly designed website will now feature an online calculator to help residents estimate their bills.
Residents can expect to see increases to their quarterly water bill effective July 1, 2026. Sewer rates will not be affected.
Water Rate Increases are:
- Tier 1: 0 – 1,200 cu. ft. $7.32 per 100 cu. ft.
- Tier 2: 1,201 – 3,000 cu. ft. $9.77 per 100 cu. ft.
- Tier 3: 3,001 + cu. ft. $18.23 per 100 cu. ft.
Residents are encouraged to input their current water bill usage to the calculator, which reflects the new rates, fees and service charges. This information will allow ratepayers to compare their current and future bills.
Senior rates can also be calculated.
The expected increase is the result of a rate study as part of the water treatment plant project, which was approved by the Board of Commissioners. The water treatment plant project will assist in meeting or exceeding new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency PFAS guidelines. The facility will be built in town, using existing water supply to ensure local control and long-term cost savings for residents.
